Lee Banks Then

Lee Banks was born on January 1, 1962, in Birmingham, Alabama. He began lifting weights at the age of 15, and by the time he was 18, he had won his first bodybuilding competition. In 1983, he won the NPC Teenage Nationals, and in 1984, he won the NPC Junior Nationals. Banks turned professional in 1985, and he quickly became one of the top bodybuilders in the world. He competed in the Mr. Olympia competition seven times, and he placed in the top five every time. Banks retired from professional bodybuilding in 1994.

Banks is married to his wife, Angela, and they have two children. He currently lives in Birmingham, Alabama, where he owns and operates a gym.
