In 1990, he won the German Junior Bodybuilding Championship. The following year, he won the Mr. Olympia title, becoming the first German to win the prestigious bodybuilding competition.

Rockel’s bodybuilding career was marked by his massive size and incredible strength. He weighed over 300 pounds and could bench press over 600 pounds. He was also known for his intense training regimen, which included lifting weights for several hours each day.
