Silvio Samuel was born on August 3, 1975, in Nigeria, Netherlands Antilles. He began lifting weights at the age of 16 and quickly developed a passion for bodybuilding. In 1980, he won his first bodybuilding competition, the Mr. Curaçao title. After winning the Mr. Universe title in 1982, Samuel turned pro and began competing in the IFBB professional league.
Samuel quickly rose through the ranks of the IFBB, winning the Mr. International title in 1984 and the Mr. Olympia title in 1988. He was known for his massive physique, which included a 58-inch chest, 32-inch waist, and 28-inch thighs. Samuel also possessed incredible strength, which he demonstrated by winning the World’s Strongest Man competition in 1988.
In addition to his bodybuilding career, Samuel also had a successful career as a professional wrestler. He wrestled for the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) from 1990 to 1992, where he was known as “The Warlord.” Samuel retired from wrestling in 1992 to focus on his bodybuilding career.
