Paul Dillett was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on October 25, 1965. He began bodybuilding at the age of 16, and quickly rose through the ranks, winning the Mr. Canada title in 1987 and the Mr. Universe title in 1990. Dillett went on to compete in the Mr. Olympia competition eight times, placing in the top 10 seven times. He retired from competitive bodybuilding in 1999.

Dillett is married to fitness model Denise Dillett, and they have two daughters. He currently lives in Los Angeles, California, and works as a personal trainer and nutritionist.
