Mehmet Yildirim was born on January 16, 1983, in Izmir, Turkey. He began weightlifting at the age of 16, and quickly developed a passion for the sport. In 2004, he won the Turkish National Bodybuilding Championships, and in 2006, he placed second at the European Amateur Bodybuilding Championships. In 2007, he turned professional, and in 2010, he won the Arnold Classic Europe.
Yildirim’s family has been very supportive of his bodybuilding career. His father, a former wrestler, encouraged him to start weightlifting. His mother and sister have also been very supportive, and they often attend his competitions.
