Ingo Fischer was born in 1967 in Karl-Marx-Stadt, East Germany. He began weightlifting at the age of 15, and quickly developed a passion for the sport. In 1986, he won the East German Junior National Championships, and in 1988, he placed second at the European Junior Championships.

After the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, Fischer moved to West Germany, where he continued to compete in bodybuilding. He won the German National Championships in 1991, and in 1994, he placed second at the World Amateur Championships.

Fischer retired from competitive bodybuilding in 1995, but he continued to train and stay in shape. He has since worked as a personal trainer and nutritionist, and he has also appeared in several fitness magazines.

Fischer is married and has two children. He lives in Munich, Germany.
