Earl Maynard Then

Earl Maynard was born on February 17, 1953, in Kingston, Jamaica. He began lifting weights at the age of 15 and quickly developed a passion for bodybuilding. In 1975, he won the Mr. Jamaica title and went on to compete in the Mr. Universe competition in 1976. Maynard finished in the top 10 and earned his IFBB pro card.

In 1977, Maynard made his professional bodybuilding debut at the Mr. Olympia competition. He finished in 15th place but quickly established himself as a rising star. In 1979, he won the Mr. International title and followed it up with a victory at the Mr. Universe competition in 1980. Maynard continued to compete throughout the 1980s and 1990s, earning numerous titles and accolades.

Maynard retired from professional bodybuilding in 1995 and has since been inducted into the IFBB Hall of Fame. He is considered one of the greatest bodybuilders of all time and has inspired generations of athletes.
