Tim McGuire Then

Tim McGuire was born on September 27, 1962 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He began lifting weights at the age of 14, and quickly developed a passion for the sport. By the time he was 18, he was competing in local bodybuilding competitions.

In 1985, McGuire won the NPC Teenage Nationals, and in 1987, he won the NPC Junior Nationals. He turned professional in 1988, and quickly became one of the top bodybuilders in the world.

McGuire competed in the Mr. Olympia competition eight times, with his best placing being fourth in 1995. He also won the Arnold Classic in 1994 and 1996.

McGuire retired from competitive bodybuilding in 1997. He has since worked as a personal trainer and nutritionist. He is also the author of several books on bodybuilding, including “The Bodybuilding Bible” and “The Nutrition Bible.”
