Matthias Hues Then

Matthias Hues was born on March 14, 1959, in Ulm, Germany. He began weightlifting at the age of 16, and quickly developed a passion for the sport. By the age of 20, he had won the German Junior Bodybuilding Championship. In 1981, he turned professional and began competing in the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB). Hues quickly rose through the ranks, and in 1985, he won the Mr. Olympia title, the most prestigious bodybuilding competition in the world. He held the title for two years, and retired from competition in 1988.

Hues was known for his massive size and muscularity, as well as his incredible symmetry. He was one of the most popular bodybuilders of his era, and he helped to popularize the sport around the world. After retiring from competition, Hues continued to work in the fitness industry, and he has appeared in numerous films and television shows.

Hues is married to his wife, Monica, and they have two children. He lives in Los Angeles, California.
