Matt Mendenhall was born on June 26th, 1960, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He grew up in a small town and began lifting weights at a young age. He quickly developed a passion for bodybuilding and began competing in local shows. In 2001, he won the NPC Junior National Championships and earned his pro card.
