History, Bodybuilding Career, and Family Background
Albert Busek was born on October 11, 1943, in Germany. He began training as a bodybuilder at the age of 16. In 1974, he won the Czech National Bodybuilding Championship. He went on to win the Mr. Universe title in 1977 and 1978. In 1980, he won the Mr. Olympia title, becoming the first Czechoslovakian to win the title.
Busek’s bodybuilding career was cut short in 1981 when he was injured in a car accident. He was paralyzed from the waist down. However, he continued to be active in the bodybuilding community, serving as a coach and mentor to other bodybuilders.
Busek is married and has two children. He lives in Prague, Czech Republic.
