Ricardo Correia was born in Portugal in 1967. He began bodybuilding at the age of 16, and quickly rose through the ranks of the sport. In 1998, he won the Mr. Portugal title, and in 2000, he competed in his first Mr. Olympia.
Correia has competed in the Mr. Olympia a total of 12 times, with his highest placing being 4th in 2002. In addition to his Mr. Olympia success, Correia has also won numerous other bodybuilding competitions, including the Arnold Classic and the New York Pro.
Outside of bodybuilding, Correia is a successful businessman and philanthropist. He owns several fitness centers in Portugal, and he is the founder of the Ricardo Correia Foundation, which provides financial assistance to underprivileged children.

At over 50 years old, Correia is still in great shape and continues to inspire others with his journey. He regularly posts workout videos and diet tips on his social media channels, and he is a popular guest speaker at bodybuilding events.
