Lee Labrada Then
Lee Labrada was born on March 8, 1960, in Havana, Cuba.
He began weightlifting at the age of 19 and quickly rose through the ranks of bodybuilding, winning the Mr. Texas competition in 1982 and the Mr. America competition in 1985.
In 1989, Labrada won the Mr. Universe competition, becoming only the second Cuban-born bodybuilder to win the title.
He went on to compete in the Mr. Olympia competition six times, finishing in the top five each time, including a second-place finish in 1990.
Labrada retired from competitive bodybuilding in 1995.
