Dan Decker Then

Dan Decker was born on May 12, 1966, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He began weightlifting at the age of 14 and quickly developed a passion for the sport. Decker competed in his first bodybuilding competition in 1985 and won the Teenage Mr. America title. He went on to win the Mr. America title in 1989 and the Mr. Olympia title in 1992.

Decker’s bodybuilding career was cut short in 1994 when he was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. He underwent surgery and chemotherapy and was able to recover from the illness. Decker returned to bodybuilding in 1997 and competed in the Mr. Olympia competition until 2004.

Decker is married to his wife, Lori, and they have two children. He is also a successful businessman and owns several fitness centers and nutritional supplement companies.
