Al Beckles was born in Barbados in 1939. He moved to England as a child, where he began bodybuilding at the age of 18.
Beckles quickly made a name for himself, winning the Mr. Universe title in 1967.

Competitive History

Beckles went on to win the Mr. World title in 1968 and 1969. He also won the Mr. Europe title in 1970 and 1971.
Beckles retired from competition in 1973.

Life History

Beckles worked as a personal trainer and nutritionist after retiring from competition. He also appeared in several bodybuilding movies.
Beckles is considered one of the greatest bodybuilders of all time.

Current Activities

Beckles is now retired and lives in Florida. He continues to stay active, working out regularly and eating a healthy diet.
Beckles is also a motivational speaker and author.
