Steve Kuclo was born on June 27, 1955, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He began lifting weights at the age of 14, and by the age of 18, he had won the Mr. Pennsylvania Junior title. Kuclo turned professional in 1975, and he quickly became one of the top bodybuilders in the world.

Kuclo won his first Mr. Olympia title in 1977, and he successfully defended his title the following year. He is one of only a few bodybuilders to have won the Mr. Olympia title more than once.

In addition to his bodybuilding career, Kuclo has also worked as an actor and a personal trainer. He has appeared in several movies and television shows, including Pumping Iron and The Incredible Hulk.
