Russ Testo was born in 1956 in New York City. He began lifting weights at the age of 14, and by the time he was 18, he had won his first bodybuilding competition. Testo went on to have a successful bodybuilding career, winning the Mr. Olympia title four times (1983, 1984, 1985, and 1988). He also won the Arnold Classic in 1986 and 1987.

In addition to his bodybuilding career, Testo has also worked as an actor, appearing in several films and television shows. He has also written several books on bodybuilding and fitness.

Testo is married to his wife, Lori, and they have three children.
