Peter Putnam was born on February 25, 1962, in Hempstead, New York. He began lifting weights at the age of 16 and quickly developed a passion for bodybuilding. Putnam competed in his first bodybuilding competition in 1983 and went on to win numerous titles, including the Mr. America title in 1986 and the Mr. Olympia title in 1987.

Putnam’s bodybuilding career was cut short in 1988 when he was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. He underwent surgery and chemotherapy and was eventually declared cancer-free. Putnam returned to bodybuilding in 1990 and competed for several more years before retiring in 1995.

Putnam is now a successful businessman and motivational speaker. He is also the founder of the Peter Putnam Foundation, which provides financial assistance to cancer patients and their families.

Putnam’s Life History
