**Early Life and Bodybuilding Career:**

Oleg Emelyanov was born in Leningrad, Russia, on November 21, 1969. He began lifting weights at the age of 15 and quickly showed great potential. By the early 1990s, he was competing in national bodybuilding competitions in Russia. In 1994, he made his international debut at the World Amateur Championships, where he placed 10th.

**Family Background:**

Emelyanov’s family was supportive of his bodybuilding career. His mother, a nurse, encouraged him to stay healthy and fit. His father, a military officer, instilled in him a strong work ethic.

Competitive History

Emelyanov’s competitive career spanned over two decades. He won numerous national and international titles, including three European Championships and two World Championships. He also competed in the IFBB Mr. Olympia contest four times, finishing in the top 10 each time.

**Life History:**

Outside of bodybuilding, Emelyanov earned a degree in physical education from Lesgaft National State University of Physical Education, Sport and Health. He also worked as a personal trainer and nutritionist.

**Current Activities:**

Emelyanov retired from competitive bodybuilding in 2014. Today, he continues to train and stay in shape. He is also involved in several business ventures, including a line of supplements and a fitness app.

Emelyanov is married to his wife, Natalya. The couple have two children, a son and a daughter. Emelyanov enjoys spending time with his family and traveling.
