Mamdouh Elssbiay, better known as Big Ramy, was born on September 16, 1984, in Alexandria, Egypt. He is a professional bodybuilder who holds the title of Mr. Olympia twice, in 2020 and 2021. Ramy began his bodybuilding journey in 2004, and quickly rose through the ranks, winning the Egyptian National Championships in 2009. He made his international debut at the 2010 World Amateur Championships, where he placed second. In 2012, Ramy won the Arnold Classic Europe, and in 2013, he placed second at the Mr. Olympia competition.
Ramy’s family is very supportive of his bodybuilding career. His father, Mohamed Elssbiay, is a former bodybuilder himself, and his mother, Sanaa Elssbiay, is a homemaker. Ramy has three brothers and one sister.
