Hans Hopstaken Then

Hans Hopstaken was born on February 13, 1957, in the Netherlands. He started training with weights at the age of 15, and quickly developed a passion for the sport. In 1978, he won the Mr. Holland title, and in 1980, he won the World Amateur Bodybuilding Championships. Hopstaken turned professional in 1981, and went on to win the Mr. Olympia title in 1985 and 1986.

Hopstaken was known for his massive size and strength, as well as his incredible conditioning. He was also one of the most popular bodybuilders of his era, and was featured on the covers of numerous magazines.

Hopstaken retired from competitive bodybuilding in 1987, and has since worked as a personal trainer and nutritionist. He has also written several books on bodybuilding and fitness.
