George Peterson Then
George Peterson was born on July 19, 1968, in New York City. He began lifting weights at the age of 15, and by the time he was 18, he had won his first bodybuilding competition. Peterson turned professional in 1990, and he quickly became one of the top bodybuilders in the world. He won the Mr. Olympia competition in 1997, and he placed in the top three at the Mr. Olympia competition seven other times.
Peterson is married to fellow bodybuilder Monica Brant. The couple has two children.

George Peterson Now
Peterson retired from competitive bodybuilding in 2002. He now owns and operates a gym in Los Angeles, California. He also works as a personal trainer and nutritionist. Peterson is an active member of the bodybuilding community, and he frequently gives lectures and seminars on bodybuilding and fitness.
