George Brown Then
George Brown was born on September 15, 1950, in Brooklyn, New York. He began lifting weights at the age of 15, and by the time he was 18, he had won the Mr. Teenage America title. In 1971, Brown won the Mr. America title, and in 1973, he won the Mr. Universe title. Brown competed in the Mr. Olympia competition three times, placing 6th in 1972, 4th in 1973, and 3rd in 1974. He retired from competitive bodybuilding in 1975.
