Paul George Then
Paul George was born on May 2, 1990, in Palmdale, California. He began playing basketball at a young age and quickly showed a natural talent for the game. George attended Fresno State University, where he played college basketball for the Bulldogs. As a junior, he averaged 23.4 points and 7.7 rebounds per game and was named the Western Athletic Conference Player of the Year.
George was drafted by the Indiana Pacers with the 10th overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft. He quickly became a starter for the Pacers and helped lead them to the playoffs in each of his first three seasons. In 2013, George was named to his first NBA All-Star team and was also named the NBA’s Most Improved Player.
George continued to improve in the following seasons and became one of the best players in the NBA. He was named to the All-NBA Team four times and also helped the Pacers reach the Eastern Conference Finals in 2014. However, George’s career was derailed in 2014 when he suffered a gruesome leg injury that forced him to miss the entire 2014-15 season.
