Robin Balogh was born on June 16, 1982, in Budapest, Hungary. He began weightlifting at the age of 16, and quickly developed a passion for the sport. Balogh competed in his first bodybuilding competition in 2005, and won the Hungarian National Junior Championships. He went on to win the Hungarian National Championships in 2006 and 2007, and the European Junior Championships in 2007.

In 2008, Balogh turned professional and competed in his first Mr. Olympia competition. He finished in 16th place, but this was just the beginning of his illustrious career. Balogh has since competed in numerous Mr. Olympia competitions, and has placed in the top 10 several times. He has also won several other prestigious bodybuilding competitions, including the Arnold Classic and the New York Pro.
