Reggie Bennett Then
Reginald “Reggie” Bennett was born on March 18, 1961, in Birmingham, Alabama. He began lifting weights at the age of 14, and quickly developed a passion for the sport. Bennett competed in his first bodybuilding competition in 1985, and went on to win numerous titles over the next decade, including the NPC National Heavyweight Championship in 1990 and the IFBB Mr. Olympia title in 1991.
Bennett’s bodybuilding career was marked by his massive size and strength. He stood 6’2″ tall and weighed over 300 pounds at the peak of his career. Bennett was also known for his incredible work ethic and dedication to the sport. He trained for hours each day, and followed a strict diet and nutrition plan.
In addition to his bodybuilding career, Bennett also had a successful career as an actor and personal trainer. He appeared in several films and television shows, including the movie Pumping Iron III and the television series American Gladiators. Bennett also wrote several books on bodybuilding and fitness, and owned a chain of gyms called Reggie Bennett’s Fitness Factory.

After retiring from bodybuilding in 1996, Bennett continued to work as an actor and personal trainer. He also became involved in several business ventures, including a line of bodybuilding supplements and a clothing company. In 2005, Bennett was inducted into the International Sports Hall of Fame.
Today, Bennett still resides in Birmingham, Alabama. He continues to train and maintain his physique, and is still active in the bodybuilding community. Bennett is also a motivational speaker and mentor to young bodybuilders.
