Ali Bilal was born on August 29, 1989, in Kuwait City, Kuwait. He started training at a young age and quickly developed a passion for bodybuilding. In 2010, he won the Mr. Kuwait title and turned professional.

He competed in his first Mr. Olympia contest in 2012 and placed 15th. In 2013, he won the Arnold Classic Europe and placed 4th in the Mr. Olympia contest. In 2014, he won the New York Pro and placed 3rd in the Mr. Olympia contest. In 2015, he won the Arnold Classic and placed 2nd in the Mr. Olympia contest.

In 2016, he won the Mr. Olympia title. He is the first Kuwaiti bodybuilder to win the Mr. Olympia title.
