Ariel Guong was born on September 16, 1980, in China. He began weightlifting at the age of 14 and quickly developed a passion for the sport. In 2002, he moved to the United States to pursue a career in bodybuilding. He quickly made a name for himself in the NPC, winning the NPC National Bodybuilding Championships in 2006. In 2007, he turned pro and began competing in the IFBB. He has since placed in the top 10 in the IFBB Arnold Classic and the Mr. Olympia.
