Charles Clairmonte Then
Charles Clairmonte was born on January 1, 1966, in New York City, New York. He began lifting weights at the age of 14 and quickly developed a passion for bodybuilding.
In 1985, he won the Mr. Teenage America title, and in 1989, he won the Mr. USA title.
Clairmonte turned professional in 1990 and quickly became one of the top bodybuilders in the world. He won the Arnold Classic in 1997 and the Mr. Olympia in 1998. He retired from professional bodybuilding in 2000.
Clairmonte has been married to Lisa Clairmonte since 1995. They have two children, Charles Clairmonte Jr. and Isabella Clairmonte.

Life History
After retiring from professional bodybuilding, Clairmonte founded his own fitness company, Clairmonte Fitness.
He also became a personal trainer and nutritionist. In 2005, he published his autobiography, The Clairmonte Method.
He is a regular contributor to several fitness magazines, and he has appeared on numerous television shows, including The Oprah Winfrey Show and The Today Show.
