Tea Leoni, born on February 25, 1966, in New York City, is the only child of Emily, a nutritionist, and Anthony Pataleoni, a lawyer.

Growing up between New York City and Englewood, New Jersey, Leoni received an elite education, attending the prestigious Brearley School on Manhattan’s Upper East Side and The Putney School in Vermont. 

She later enrolled at Sarah Lawrence College but ultimately decided to drop out.
