Super Crazy Then and Now
Super Crazy Then
Francisco Islas Rueda, born on December 3, 1973, in Tulancingo, Mexico, is better known in the world of professional wrestling as Super Crazy.
From a young age, Islas was immersed in the world of wrestling, thanks to his older brother Rey Pantera, who trained him.
Islas began his wrestling career at just 14 years old, making his debut in February 1988.
His early career was marked by his involvement in Lucha Libre, the traditional Mexican wrestling style, where he adopted the ring name “Super Crazy.”
His initial appearances were as an enmascarado, or masked wrestler, but he lost his mask just over a month into his career after a defeat in a Luchas de Apuestas, a “bet match” where wrestlers wager their masks or hair.
Despite this early setback, Islas continued to develop his wrestling persona and skills.
