Phil Hill Then
Phil Hill was born on May 20, 1961, in Whittier, California. He started training in the gym at a young age, and he quickly developed a passion for bodybuilding. In 1983, he won the Mr. Teenage America title, and in 1984, he won the Mr. World title. Hill went on to compete in the Mr. Olympia competition several times, and in 1990, he placed second to Lee Haney.
Hill retired from competitive bodybuilding in 1995, but he continues to stay involved in the sport. He has worked as a trainer and a fitness consultant, and he has also appeared in several bodybuilding magazines and videos. In 2004, he was inducted into the IFBB Hall of Fame.
Hill is married and has two children. He currently lives in California.
