In 1994, he won the Swedish National Bodybuilding Championships, and in 1996, he won the European Championships. Andreas turned professional in 1997, and has competed in numerous competitions since then, including the Mr. Olympia, the Arnold Classic, and the New York Pro. He has won several titles, including the 2003 Arnold Classic and the 2005 New York Pro.
