Mike Quinn was born on November 18, 1961, in the Bronx, New York. He began lifting weights at the age of 14, and quickly developed a passion for the sport. In 1983, he won the Mr. America title, and in 1984, he placed second in the Mr. Olympia competition. Quinn continued to compete in bodybuilding throughout the 1980s and 1990s and retired from the sport in 1997.

Quinn is married to former bodybuilder Cory Everson, and they have two children. After retiring from bodybuilding, Quinn worked as a personal trainer and nutritionist. He also founded the Mike Quinn Fitness Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
