Matt LeBlanc was born on July 25, 1967, in Newton, Massachusetts, near Boston.

His parents, Patricia (née Di Cillo) LeBlanc, an office manager, and Paul LeBlanc, a mechanic, divorced in 1974, leading to an upbringing where he saw his father infrequently. 

Growing up primarily under the care of his mother, LeBlanc navigated the challenges of a single-parent household. 

Despite these early challenges, he developed a strong work ethic and a keen interest in building and construction.

After graduating from high school in 1985, LeBlanc pursued his passion for building by enrolling at the Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston.
