Early Life and Bodybuilding Career
Born on July 14, 1958, John Minardi was raised in a working-class family in New Jersey. He began bodybuilding at the age of 15, and quickly developed a passion for the sport. Minardi trained hard and competed in his first bodybuilding competition in 1978. He went on to win numerous competitions, including the Mr. New Jersey title in 1983.
Competitive History
Minardi’s competitive career spanned over two decades. He competed in the Mr. Olympia competition eight times, with his best finish being a sixth-place finish in 1990. He also won the Arnold Classic twice, in 1989 and 1993.
