Chace Crawford was born on July 18, 1985, in Lubbock, Texas, and was named Christopher Chace Crawford after his father, Chris. 

His father pursued a career as a dermatologist, while his mother, Dana, was a teacher. 

Growing up in a Southern Baptist household, Crawford was raised with traditional values alongside his younger sister, Candice, who later gained recognition as Miss Missouri and a contestant in the Miss USA pageant.
