Abbas Khatami was born on January 1, 1978, in Tehran, Iran. He began bodybuilding at the age of 16, and quickly rose through the ranks, becoming one of the most successful bodybuilders in the world.
Khatami won his first bodybuilding competition in 1996, and went on to win numerous other competitions, including the Mr. Olympia title in 2008. He is also a two-time winner of the Arnold Classic.
Khatami is married to Fatemeh Khoshkam, and they have two children. He currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
