Brian Lee Then

Brian Lee was born on November 26, 1966, in St. Petersburg, Florida. 

Raised in the Sunshine State, he developed an early interest in professional wrestling, which led him to pursue a career in the sport. 

His passion for wrestling and physical fitness drove him to train extensively, eventually preparing him for a professional debut in the late 1980s. 

Lee’s early influences included the thriving wrestling scene of Florida and the various wrestling promotions operating in the region, which set the stage for his entry into the industry.

Brian Lee Wrestling Career

Brian Lee made his professional wrestling debut in 1988 with Jerry Jarrett’s Continental Wrestling Association (CWA) in Memphis, Tennessee. 

His early career was marked by a series of transitions as the CWA merged with World Class Championship Wrestling to form the United States Wrestling Association (USWA), where Lee competed until 1991.

Lee’s career saw him making initial appearances in major wrestling promotions, including a notable debut at Clash of the Champions XIII in 1990, where he faced The Z-Man.

Although he faced several challenges early on, including losses in various tryout matches for the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), Lee’s tenacity and skill earned him more significant opportunities.

In 1992, Lee became a prominent figure in Smoky Mountain Wrestling (SMW), where he was known as “Prime Time” Brian Lee. 

His tenure in SMW was marked by a series of successes, including becoming the inaugural SMW Heavyweight Champion and later winning the Beat the Champ Television Championship.

Lee’s dynamic presence and ability to engage in high-profile feuds, such as his rivalry with Kevin Sullivan, helped solidify his reputation in the wrestling world.

Lee’s career took an interesting turn in 1994 when he briefly portrayed an impostor version of The Undertaker in the WWF, under the guise of “The Million Dollar Corporation.” 

Despite the storyline’s eventual discontinuation, this period added a unique chapter to Lee’s wrestling career.

Following his stint in the WWF, Lee returned to the independent circuit and later joined Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) in 1996. 

His time in ECW was characterized by intense feuds and memorable matches, including a highly-publicized Scaffold Match with Tommy Dreamer. 

Lee’s tenure in ECW saw him adopt various personas, including “Killdozer,” and form alliances with notable wrestlers like Raven and Chris Candido.

Lee’s career continued to evolve as he joined Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) in 2002, where he became part of The Disciples of the New Church and captured the NWA World Tag Team Championship with his partner Slash. 

After leaving TNA, Lee made sporadic appearances in independent promotions until his retirement from professional wrestling in 2014.
